Gierde Dukauskaite in Lacoste / @suzannekoller

Lacoste got a new look with the new creative director, Louise Trotter, who left her previous post at Joseph to give a facelift for the dusty tennis brand. Such a good facelift indeed. I loved the use of the iconic crocodile and how Louise brought her own vision and merged it perfectly with the sportyness of the brand. And the show was styled by Suzanne Koller, who brought all her favorite models with her such as Maggie Mauer and Gierde Dukauskaite, wow!

I absolutely adored the most recent Lemaire collection, and the casting! Above my favorite look that opened the show; perfectly fitting trousers on the focus.

Paris Fashion Week has always been my favorite and it didn’t let me down this time either (if we don’t mention the Céline horror, which I’m too tired to even talk about anymore..) Jonathan Anderson really divides opinions, but everything he does really fascinates me and it’s amazing how he was able to re-brand Loewe in a way that it really makes sense with the heritage with leather and Spanish roots. Also I love how he is inspired by the careless and cool vibe of Ibiza is able to transform it into something so appealing.

Marimekko SS2019

It’s not a surprise that Finnish fashion and -design have a very special place in my heart and especially living abroad they’ve became ways for me to communicate about where I come from.

Having a bit of homesickness lately, I was very happy to attend Marimekko’s SS2019 presentation in a gorgeous Musée d’Arts Decoratifs. The new designer Satu Maaranen focused in this collection on romantic dresses from the brand’s archives, making them look very up-to-date. The two looks above were my favorites and I can’t wait to try on the green printed maxi dress when it hits the stores.

Trendspotting balaclavas for AW2018. I’m very excited every time for practical trends and could definitely imagine myself in head-to-toe brown with that Marni knit on. Besides Marni and Balenciaga, balaclavas were also seen at Calvin Klein, Gucci, Chanel and Preen, just to mention a few.

Jonathan Anderson’s newest collection for Loewe was again very strong, including some dreamy leather pieces, such as the bra dress above. I adore how he is respecting the brand codes of Loewe and he obviously know who is the customer, but you can still see his playful vision in the designs.
