The Row SS2020 / @nylane

I’m not paying great attention on fashion weeks this season, but obviously The Row I couldn’t miss. There’s really nothing new, which is why I love the brand. It evolves so sustainably and naturally that you don’t see the development by comparing the new season to the previous one. But it’s there, they just get better and better, and it all happens in silence.

I’ve been already dreaming of the sheer Sock Shoes, but the Margiela inspired transparent flats might be even better.

We might have to wait for couple days for the official show pictures of The Row’s latest collection, but I couldn’t wait to share one sneak peek I found through Instagram. The set with Jean Prouvés aluminum and metal sun shutters already made me die and took me into mid-century modern -heaven, but also the collection will be something that sticks in my inspiration folders (and partly in my wardrobe) forever.

Trendspotting (if that can be said since NYFW is just repeating already ongoing trends..) nylon windbreaker fabrics in few shows. The material looks fresh in the more feminine silhouettes, such as in the long dress from Tibi.

NYFW is almost over and it has been very boring to be honest. I mostly waited for The Row, but they skipped the show and organized a presentation instead. However, the look book looks still great, especially the grey look above.

I hope Calvin Klein and Maryam Nassir Zadeh will serve some treats for the final days.

Balenciaga AW2018 / voguerunway.com

Trendspotting balaclavas for AW2018. I’m very excited every time for practical trends and could definitely imagine myself in head-to-toe brown with that Marni knit on. Besides Marni and Balenciaga, balaclavas were also seen at Calvin Klein, Gucci, Chanel and Preen, just to mention a few.

My love affair with The Row continues. The latest collection showed together with some unseen sculptures of Isamu Noguchi (!!!) was nothing new from the Olsen sisters, but still even better. Oversized coats, earthy tones and loose pants paired with very subtle and beautifully anonymous accessories is something I could call my uniform already, and I’m definitely going to adopt the wet-hair look and head-to-toe brown into it.
