Maison Martin Margiela SS09

It’s time to wrap up 2017 and welcome 2018. I’ll rather start the new year fresh and rested, so tonight’s plans doesn’t include late partying or disco outfits. I would only wear sequins if they were from Margiela.

Speaking of, in March 2018 Palais Galleria in Paris will host an exhibition dedicated to Martin Margiela. After seeing the Hermes Years exhibition in Antwerp, I can’t wait for this one!

Margiela the Hermès Years – exhibition left me longing for straight and strapless necklines. As refreshing as it was to visit an exhibition where no photos were allowed, I would have loved to share details from some of my favourite looks, such as a strapless wool jumpsuit from AW2001 collection.

This shape can look easily tacky, but combined with long and volumous bottom makes it interesting and in a right way akward.

TRENDSPOTTING – Gucci introduced (or brought back) heels with sky-high platform already last season and from the Autumn/Winter collections we can spot platforms in Margiela, Cavalli, Marc Jacobs, Rochas.. just to name a few. Time to put your pointy stilettos back to the closet!

And what about those tiger stripes?
