Lately I’m very into yellow. Mustard yellow to be specific. Everything seems to be very black/white/beige at the moment, my mind is constantly seeking for more colors.

This is ( a part of) the moodboard I did when I planned the spring selections for MIES. I’ll be always focusing on coats, but I wanted to experiment a bit with couple new limited categories. The shirt selection is already online, and in couple of weeks we are launching a Hermès by Margiela selection, something that has been on my mind for a really long time. And of course there will be some spring coats as well.

FIAC is always one of the highlights of my year. I love discovering all my favorite galleries from around the world, all gathered in Grand Palais for a weekend showing their best art pieces. During the event there are also many pieces exhibited around Paris with the concept of #FIAChorslesmurs – FIAC outside the walls – for which the selection this year was particularly great! Unfortunately I didn’t manage to see Yayoi Kusama’s Pumpkin at Place Vendôme as it had to be taken down due to strong wind, however I was extremely excited to visit Jean Prouvé’s demountable houses at Place de la Concorde exhibited by Galerie Patrick Seguin and Galerie Downtown, with all the gorgeous furniture of course.Näyttökuva 2019-11-2 kello 13.52.47

The Row AW2019 / @nikoturko

We might have to wait for couple days for the official show pictures of The Row’s latest collection, but I couldn’t wait to share one sneak peek I found through Instagram. The set with Jean Prouvés aluminum and metal sun shutters already made me die and took me into mid-century modern -heaven, but also the collection will be something that sticks in my inspiration folders (and partly in my wardrobe) forever.

jardin

I’m currently dreaming about gardening; planting my own flowers, vegetables and lemon trees. There’s something very inspiring to observe how everything starts to grow depending on how you nourish them. For now I’m growing some herbs in our french balcony, I just love the smell of basil and lavender together.

Also how phenomenal is the garden chair above by Jean Prouvé. I’m still obsessing over this specific green.

Galerie Patrick Seguin hosted The Row’s showroom this for AW2018 season, which makes so much sense. The gallery is specialized in the 20th century furniture and architecture. It is quite hidden in Bastille and the breathtaking space is designed by architect Jean Nouvel. I’m sure it is also one of the places the Olsen sisters acquires their furniture.

If you are a fan of architects like Jean Prouvé, Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, when visiting Paris you should pay a visit for Galerie Patrick Seguin in Bastille. Not only the gallery space designed by Jean Nouvel is gorgeus, but also every piece of furniture they have on display.
