My November thought are now on Flounce.fi and I really wanted to highlight this article in an archive issue of Harper’s Bazaar, especially the pictures. The left one is currently my phone’s screen saver at it really sets the mood right when I see it in the mornings. As I know from experience, winter coldness and darkness tend to affect my motivation, so this year I’m preparing early by focusing a lot on my morning routine; stretching, lemon water and planning the day.
The photo above I snapped from the window of Lemaire boutique in Le Marais. It’s one of my favorite destinations if I’m lacking inspiration. I love visiting stores, not to buy, but just to feel the fabrics, study details and try on things. I think it’s important when working in fashion, because you are missing out a lot if you only look at the collections from the computer screen. Also, I always get inspired by the store decorations. The ceramics at the Lemaire store are made by French artist Emile Degorce-Dumas.

My latest 6 pictures of the month are now live at Flounce.fi. Briefly, I’m currently very busy – in a good way – at different work projects and I love the drive and energy I’m having. It happens every year this time and I’m making the most of it. However in the few moments I’m lacking inspiration, the above picture of Ann Demeulemeester in her studio designed by Le Corbusier always motivates me and gets me to work mood. I’m always inspired by people’s enthusiasm and focus on what they do. There’s nothing more powerful than believing in oneself.

My August thoughts are live at flounce.fi. My trip to Antwerp made me research some Belgian fashion- and furniture designers. I’ve been obsessed by Muller van Severen for a while, too bad the gallery in Antwerp representing the designer duo was closed during the latest visit.
Also, how good was Jil Sander’s SS11 collection designed by Raf Simons. The combo of white cotton t-shirt and volume bottom creates a perfect contrast.

My newest thoughts are out at flounce.fi. This month I’m thinking about the impact of surroundings to creativity and inspiration among other things. Personally I’m very influenced by what I see around, not only about the aesthetics but the whole energy.
