I recently spent a long weekend in Barcelona. It was my second time in the city , although might say the first, since the last time was over 10 years ago. I didn’t have high expectations, as I never particularly dreamed about travelling there and especially while living in Paris, I rather travel to less touristic places. But I’m very positively surprised. By avoiding the most common attractions and with a bit of a research Barcelona has a lot to give.

My favorite day was one spent at the Montjuïc hill, visiting Miró Foundation and obviously Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona Pavilion which was nearby, and getting lost from time to time and ending up to the most beautiful small gardens.
